Description : This park was named for E.C. Manning who was Chief Forester of British Columbia from 1935 to 1940. Situated in the Cascade Mountains of southeastern BC, the park encompasses over 66,500 hectares of spectacular rugged mountains, valleys, meadows, lakes and rivers.

The landscape varies from lush, thick coastal growth to dry interior vegetation. The surrounding forest includes species such as of Douglas fir, western red cedar, western hemlock, subalpine fir, lodgepole pine, aspen and cottonwood. Nearby alpine meadows are cloaked with alpine flowers.
