Description : Johnston Canyon is one of the most popular destinations in the Canadian Rockies.
It is a narrow limestone chasm with two thundering waterfalls. Crowded but worth it, the spectacular 1.6-mile [2.6-kilometer] trail veers out over the rushing water on catwalks bolted to the cliffs. It also offers the rare opportunity of standing beside the very base of an immensely powerful falls, amid the blast and spray and percussive, gut-thumping crash of exploding whitewater.
