Description : The small desert around Osoyoos in the Okanagan valley is oddball enough - cacti, sagebrush,horned toads, antelope, but imagine a polka-dotted lake in the middle of it all!
Spotted Lake contains one of the worlds highest concentrations of epsom salts, and other minerals - copper, gold, silver, gypsum. In the summer months these minerals crystallize into white-rimmed circles.

The lake is considered a sacred site with medicinal purposes by the local native band.
