St.Pauls Inlet, Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland, Canada 07

Description : St Paul,s is a fishing community located on the Great Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland. It is 35km north of Rocky Harbour. The first settler to settle in St Paul,s was a trapper by the name of Elias Gifford. Mr. Gifford was recorded in the 1874 census as being the only settler in St Paul,s.
Jacques Cartier, sailing for the King of France, charted the waters around the Island in 1534 and landed at St. Paul’s Inlet on June 16th. This voyage gives us the oldest description and map of the park area.
